Eligibility for program participation
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
The
Academic Semester program is a 5-6 month
program. Students can participate in
Academic Semester programs in the First or
Second Semester of each term. Departure
dates vary depending on the country in which you
choose to participate. Check the
destinations page to view the departure date of
each specific country. In
order to be an exchange student with Two Worlds United, you must be
at least 15 years of age and no more than 18 years of age on the date of
your departure (some programs allow for exceptions to be made for 19-year-old
students and some destinations allow students to participate at the age of 14). You must have at least a
2.75 GPA for academic year and semester programs and a 2.50 GPA for summer
programs. Students must also meet any
additional requirements specific to the country they choose, for example a
student may be required to have studied the
language of the destination country.
Two Worlds United students must
be motivated, flexible, open-minded, curious, adaptable to new situations, and
should have a sense of humor.
Students should also possess good written
and oral communication skills.
What
are the Requirements?
The requirements for the participation in the
Semester
programs are:

Students from High School
or equivalent

Age between 15 to18 years
(14 to 19 in some destinations)

Two years high school
level or equivalent of foreign language when destination is a foreign
language speaking country.

Good academic level
(overall GPA of at least a C)

Maturity to adapt to new
environments.

Successful score in a
personal interview.
(Some private schools also may have
additional requirements.)

After you apply to the online
form, you will receive a
confirmation. You will
then be asked to complete an
additional Pre-application form
and send it by mail to the Two Worlds United
Admissions Office. Please
note the online application
can't reserve a space in the
program until the additional
Pre-application form is signed
by parents and mailed to our
office.
