   Program Requirements in Australia

 

Exchange Student Australia

 
Here is an outline of the student requirements for the participation in the
Semester programs:

  • Students from High School or equivalent

  • Age between 15 to18 years (14 to 19 in some destinations)

  • No foreign language required for native English speakers who go to an English speaking country. Two years high school level or equivalent of foreign language when destination is a foreign language speaking country.

  • Good academic level (overall GPA of at least a C)

  • Maturity to adapt to new environments.

  • Successful score in a personal interview.

(Some private schools also may have additional requirements.)

 

In order to qualify as an exchange student in Australia, you must be at least 15 years of age and no more than 18 years of age on the date of your departure (some programs allow for exceptions to be made for 19-year-old students and some destinations allow students to participate at the age of 14)You must have at least a 2.75 GPA for academic year and semester programs and a 2.50 GPA for summer programs.  Students must also meet any additional requirements specific to the course level they apply.  Foreign language is not a requirement for native English speakers. 

Two Worlds United students must be motivated, flexible, open-minded, curious, adaptable to new situations, and should have a sense of humor. Students should also possess good written and oral communication skills. 

Spending an Academic Year or a Semester as an exchange student in Australia means living with a host family and attending high school for 10-11 months or 4 to 6 months.
