Make Long Life Friends

The friends you make while studying and living abroad will always remember you.  You may very likely be the first person from your country or from a foreign country that they get to know.  They will never forget the time that they introduced you to their favorite foods and took you sightseeing to their favorite places.  Just the same, you will never forget their hospitality and their style, surprisingly different to your own.  You'll always wonder about how your friends are doing, what is happening in their lives in the country were you studied, so far away from you.

After returning home you can keep in touch by email, telephone, and letters.  Many students return to visit their friends and former host families every few years, and their friends from the country of study even come to visit them in return.

Some of your very strongest friendships may come from people you meet abroad.
